Custom Banners To The Rescue!

August 27th, 2010 · No Comments · General News

Everyone knows that when it comes to real estate, there is nothing more important than location, location, location.  Location is so important that it trumps craftsmanship or even the quality of materials.  Open houses are a great way to generate buzz about a listing.  Real estate agents typically will provide visitors with drinks and snacks while giving tours of the home and answering any and all questions.  Unfortunately, sometimes people don’t show up for open houses.  This can be demoralizing to the agent because a no show means hours of hard work and preparation were ineffective.

NO MORE EMPTY OPEN HOUSES!

Vinyl banners are a highly effective way to advertise an upcoming open house; and, even better, the banners can be used on a recurring basis.  Vinyl banners are great for saving space because they roll up easily.  You can also say whatever you want to say on a vinyl banner.  A real estate agent can design her custom banner to mention not only that there is an upcoming open house, but also her name, phone number and website address.  The real estate agent must remember, however, that just as the location of the house is important, so too is the location she chooses to display her custom vinyl banner.  In the following paragraphs, I am going to discuss three highly effective locations for displaying an open house vinyl banner.

NUMERO UNO: ON A MAIN ROAD

I hear about people getting lost while traveling to an open house all the time.  Good agents know that high exposure means positive results.  For a quick display, attach metal poles to either end of the custom banner.  Be pro-active and go find a busy intersection where you can display your open house vinyl banner.  Be sure to include the date and time of the open house on your custom banner!

#2: AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SUBDIVISION

Again, this is a no brainer.  Considering the amount of urban sprawl that has taken place in our country in recent years, there are new subdivisions that have sprung up all over the place.  Oftentimes an agent must first sell a buyer on the neighborhood before selling the buyer a home.  Custom banners are great for helping open house attendees identify where the open home is located.  Just as you did at the busy intersection, scope out a spot near the entrance to the neighborhood, attach your vinyl banner to a pair of metal poles and set up your display a day or so before the open house.

NUMBER THREE: OUT FRONT OF THE HOUSE

This concept really is simple.  And, lucky for you, your local vinyl banner maker will gladly punch a couple of holes into your custom banner and insert grommets so that your banner can easily be hung from most any object.  For your open house, just tie some rope through the holes on each end of the custom banner and hang it from the front porch or from a window frame.  It’s that simple!

SELL THAT HOUSE!

You are now armed with some seriously valuable open house information and should have no trouble bringing the public into your listing.  Good luck and go make that sale!
